It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Ruth Duwe (Mount Vernon, Missouri), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on May 3, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Daniel Cramer and Margaret Cramer (Showengerdt); her husband Albert Harry Duwe, Jr.; and her sons, Kurt Duwe (Debbie) of Merriam, Craig Duwe (Jean) of Monett and Keith Duwe (Becky) of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In light of the concerns and restrictions placed on group gatherings due to Covid-19, there will be a private funeral service at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with burial to follow at the National Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
Memorial donations may be made payable to the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Vernon or the CoxHealth at Home Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
