He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul G. Adams and Lucille Adams (Winkie Barnhart); his in-laws, Glen and Betty Carter; his brother-in-law Jimmy E. Carter; his great-nephew Christian Alexander Helm; his grandson Devin James Inglis; and his former wife Charla Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Joann Elizabeth Carter; his children, Alma Lindsay (Matt), John Adams (Shannon) and Theresa Adams-Baker (Scott); his grandchildren, Payten Mae Lindsay, Sydnee Rae, Kennedy Lee, Madison Lynn Adams, Alley and Sammie Baker; his sister Paula Jenkins; his nephew David Jenkins (Brittanie); and his niece Melissa Miller (James). He is also survived by other family members and many friends.

Donations may be made to the Mission Ridge Cemetery Fund.
