She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Thomas and Bertha Thomas (Byrd); her husband Phillip William Tuten, Sr.; her siblings, Betty Hopkins, Bea Hedrick, Ola Crawford, Bertha Kitter (May), James, Willie, Fredrick, Jack and Leon Thomas; and her brother-in-law Patrick Tuten.
She is survived by: her sons, Phillip Tuten, Jr. (Linda) of Shell Knob, Christopher Tuten (Keri) of Joplin and David Tuten (Ashley) of Willard, Missouri; her brother Bobby Thomas (Jennifer) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and her brother-in-law Paul Tuten of Wichita, Kansas. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
