Though Carolyn Carter may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Carolyn Carter touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Franklin and Georgia Iris Cofer (Carter); her husband Donald Rex Highfill; and her sons, Troy and Jimmy Highfill.
She is survived by: her children, Vicky Inmon of Mt. Vernon, Franklin Cheek of Mt. Vernon, Dean Highfill (Sandy) of Ozark and Gary Highfill (Kimberly) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
