We bid farewell to Russell Dayton of Mount Moriah, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 5, 2024 at the age of 98. Russell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dayton and Edna Dayton (Gay); his daughter Cynthia; his former wife Eunice Baze; and his son-in-law Jim Klobnak.

He is survived by: his son David; his daughter-in-law Wendy; and his grandchildren, Kristen, Nicholas and Alexandria.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
