She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary M. Jones (Lipscomb) and McKinley Jones Sr.; her siblings, Maxine Ballou, Sally Fordham, Amelia Frances, Turner, Edith Holt, F. Louise Thompson, Brenda Lois Jones and McKinley Jones Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, David Ballou, Roosevelt Cook and Esau Turner.

She is survived by: her sister Aquilla Cook of Kansas City, MO; her nieces, Deborah Cook and Mary "Nikki" Jones; her siblings-in-law, Gail Jones of Albany, NY and William "Pete" Holt of Colonie, NY; and her friends, Nija Bullock and Georell Bullock. She is also survived by 13 nieces; 3 nephews; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews.

A graveside service was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mount Moriah Cemetery South (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131).
