The memory of Donald Eugene Tunks of Mount Moriah, Missouri, who passed away on August 25, 2024 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his grandfather Don; his parents, Leora Tunks and Burke Tunks; his stepfather Marvin Blair; and his brothers, Phil Tunks and Marion Blair.
He is survived by: his wife Lily Tunks; his daughter Marina Ganter (Tunks); his son-in-law Alexis Ganter; his son John Tunks; his daughter-in-law Susie Tunks; his granddaughters, Emma Tunks, Zoë Ganter, Naia Tunks and Charlotte Ganter; and his stepbrother Frank Blair. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (12001 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64145). A burial was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Moriah Cemetery South (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don's name to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Kansas City.
