She was predeceased by: her parents, Ameen Wakeam and Nellie Wakeam; and her sisters, Jean and Nancy. She is survived by: her significant other William George (Bill); her sister Charme Elias (George); her grandchildren, Sydney Burns (Christian), Shelby Swartz (Kyle) and Spencer George (Cole Bakalar); and her great grandchildren, Maverick, Leo, Holden and Jameson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Church of the Nativity (3800 W 119th St, Leawood, KS 66209). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
