With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothea Smith of Mound City, Missouri, born in Craig, Missouri, who passed away on May 2, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Philip Brandt; her daughter Lynda Louise Neely; her husband Ray Frank Smith of Fairfax; her stepdaughter Cheryl; and her siblings, Philip Dwaine, Margaret Ann and Ramona Jean.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy Smith of Independence, Missouri; her son-in-law Gene Herron (Kathy) of Rock Port; her friend Max Shubert of Mound City; and her grandchildren, Kevin and Melissa. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, stepgrandchildren, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the local food pantry or animal shelter of your choice.
