She was predeceased by: her parents, James Burch and Wilma Claudine Burch (Vaughn); her former husband Edward Young; her husband James Joyce; her children, Everett Lee Young and Betty Jean Kent; and her siblings, Kenneth D. Burch, William "Bill" Lee Burch and Nadine Kitson.
She is survived by: her boyfriend Buster Pherigo; her daughter Nina Sue Hurt (Junior) of Warsaw, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Shannon Lee Kent of Montgomery City, Shawna Lynn McDermitt (Travis) of Rogersville, Justin Hurt (Jamie) of Silver Lake and Jake Hurt of Warsaw, Indiana. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
