He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Edward and Ora Mae Rice (Smith); his former wife Phyllis Ann Wells; his wife Edith Eileen Lewis; and his brother Edward Lee Rice.
He is survived by: his children, William Edward Rice (Cynthia) of Carl Junction, MO and Elizabeth Wells Rice Jordheim (Tron) of Columbia, MO.; and his grandchildren, Helena Ann Jordheim, Carolyn Elizabeth Jordheim, Allee Jo Rice, Emily Mae Rice and Daniel Ellis Rice.
