She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Lysander and Cora Pauline Harris Smith; her husband James Arthur Julius Schaffer; her siblings, Mike Smith, Ellis Smith and Dora Denise Smith; and her stepson Mark Schaffer.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Jackson, Gary Schaffer and Scott Schaffer (Lisa); and her siblings, Marjorie O'Donel, Phylis Foster, Rita Smith, Larry Smith, David Smith (Mary Lou), Pat Smith (Phylis), Carl Smith (Donna) and John Smith (Barbara). She is also survived by three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
