He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Klassen and Veronica Oneta Engle Klassen; and his sister Joyce Plummer. He is survived by: his son Dana Buckman (Sheila); his grandchildren, William Buckman and Alicia Bergheger; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Klassen (Joan) of Shelbina, Missouri, Beverly Sheridan, Carolyn Thompson (Alvin) of Monroe City, Missouri and Barbara Gauve (Albert). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
