It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Lee Christy of Monroe City, Missouri, who passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Foster Hattersley and Lilly Maria Davis Hattersley; her husband Boyd Gail Christy; her daughter Debra Sue Christy; her sister Emma Katherine "Kay" Porter; her grandson Kennedy Lorenson; her great grandchild Tristan Glaspie; and her sons-in-law, Kenneth Allen Cadmus and Michael David Beaver.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Vedenhaupt (Delray), Danny Christy (Carlene), Kathy Funkenbusch (Mark), Patricia Lipp (Gary), Barbara Smith (Thomas), Brenda Higdon (Albert), Candy Mitchell (Greg), Donna Crow (David), Maria Sears and Michael Christy (Jennifer); her sister-in-law Bonnie Christy; and her grandchildren, Tammy Johnson, Jamie Cunningham, Aaron Cunningham, Jessica Robinson, Jason Christy, Jenny Christy, Amy Glaspie, Stacy Neff, Stephanie Woodard, Joshua Funkenbusch, Derek Lipp, Meagan Lipp, Misty Smith, Kami Tabor, Michael Jeremy Beaver, Kari Beaver, Kirsti Beaver, Abbigail Smith, Jonathan Smith, Shelley Monnig, Kylie Higdon, Sarah Griggs, Christofer Lorenson, Kimberly Closser, Cassandra Angel, Kyle Wolfe, Desiree Parrott, Cheyenne Cadmus, Courtney Pingleton, Taylor Morgan, Ashley Sears, Kayla Stack, Katelin Christy and Kameron Christy. She is also survived by 90 Great Grandchildren, 27 Great- Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
