She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Lee Whitaker and Mamie Lou Whitaker (Young); her siblings, Freddie, Charles Whitaker and Anna Lou Rouse; and her grandson Josh Arroyo.
She is survived by: her children, Vida Snook (Branham) of California, Roger Branham (Sue) of Springfield, Teresa Moses of Lee Summit, Janice Hagen (Richard "Bucket") of Monroe City, Faith Richardson (Todd) of Collinsville, Robert Dowell (Beth) of Monroe City, Rob Dowell (Shannon) and Rube Dowell (Kwang) of St. Robert; and her grandchild Courtney Dowell (Anna) of Louisburg, Kansas.. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
