She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Donald" Abell and Hilda Abell (Renner); her husband Harold Eugene "Gene" Ketsenburg; her nieces, Candy Abell and Shelia Gander; her nephew Joe Paul Gander; her siblings-in-law, Liz Gander (Don) and Harold Olson; and her friend Patricia "Patty" Lehenbauer.
She is survived by: her children, David Ketsenburg (Laura) of Monroe City, MO, Rosanne Hays (Todd) of Monroe City, MO and Gena Maher (Greg) of Monroe City, MO; her brother Larry Abell (Dorothy) of Monroe City, MO; her grandchildren, Davy Ketsenburg (Cassandra Cantrell), Donnie Hays (Ashley), Juliana Gilkey (Cole), Michael Maher, Logan Maher and Dylan Maher; her great grandchildren, Thea Hays, Madden Hays and Elliott Gilkey; and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Olson (Mary Ann Rampley), Julius Ketsenburg (Carolyn), Bobby Ketsenburg (Dian) and Tony Ketsenburg. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A prayer was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the O'Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home (545 Stoddard St, Monroe City, MO 63456). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church (27519 Monroe Co Rd 533, Monroe City, MO 63456).
Memorial contributions may be made to Monroe City Manor Care Center Auxiliary and Great River TEC (Teens Encounter Christ).
