With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Herman Whelan (Monroe City, Missouri), born in Stoutsville, Missouri, who passed away on September 26, 2018 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Adrian and Bessie Blanche Abell Whelan; his daughter Dawn Marie Whelan; and his siblings, William Francis Whelan, Donald Whelan and Vera Craig.
He is survived by: his spouse Rosalie Davis August; his children, Jerry Whelan (Paul Wieschhaus) of Hartsburg, Jean Forbis (Ron) of Fulton, Chuck Whelan (Susan) and Chris Whelan (Billie Jo); and his brother Artie Whelan (Carolyn) of Clapper. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
