She was predeceased by: her parents, Russel Carlin and Thelma Carlin (Mullins). She is survived by: her sons, John D. Ford (Mary) of Springfield, Gerald Ford of Monett and Doug Ford of Monett; and her siblings, Russell "Kojak" Carlin of Mt. Vernon and Sue McMeley of Sherman, Texas. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations for Virginia may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
