He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill". He is survived by: his mother Agnes Kahre (Cahalan); his wife Therese Tate; and his brother Steve Kahre of Aurora, MO. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
