He was predeceased by: his parents, Leopold Coufal (Paul) and Blanch Halla Coufal; his siblings, Joseph, Verna Beck (Willis), Blanche Hermsmeyer (Wesley), Margery Conwell (Louis) and Ralph; and his great grandchild William Martin White.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnne LaRose Meyer; his children, Randel Lee (Randy), Jamie Lynne (Brandon Holbrook) and Randy; his grandchildren, Christopher (Dorynne), Michael Coufal (Mike), Jordan Holbrook Staponski (Jace), Melissa Coufal White (Cody) and Caitlin Holbrook; and his great grandchildren, Christopher, Charlie, Cassandra White (Cassie), Elsie, Mattie, Rowan Staponski and Linley Coufal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions have been suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
