She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted Planchon and Hulda Planchon (Krueger). She is survived by: her children, Mark Short (Melissa) and Anne Garoutte (Joe) of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jonathan Mulligan and Calder Garoutte; her great grandchild Robert Cash Mulligan of Bentonville, Arkansas; and her sister Barbara Rueter (Jim) of Tomball. She is also survived by friends, former students, and co-workers.
