With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lillian Irene Gunter-Andes of Monett, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Lillian Irene's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. She was predeceased by: her parents, Issac Nicklas and Tressie Nicklas (Garroutte); her former husband Hollis Leroy Andes; and her husband William Donald Gunter. She is survived by: her children, Terry Gunter (Glenda) of Monett, Ken Gunter (Rita) of Pierce City, Kevin Gunter (Cindy) of Verona, Missouri and Christie Holloway (Randy) of Monett, Missouri; and her sister Dorothy Rhea of Marionville, Missouri. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren plus one on the way, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home (216 2nd St, Monett, MO 65708). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations in Lillian's name may be made to the Children's Miracle Network.
