He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Smith (Downs) and Louie Smith; and his siblings, Bonnie, Keith Stephens Sr. and Danny Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Eckman; his sister Kay Shelley (J. D.) of Monett; and his children, Mike DePriest (Jennifer) of Chicago, Keith DePriest (Suzanne) of Monett, Karen Smith (Jeff) of Monett and Mary George (Darren) of St. Louis. He is also survived by grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
