He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacques "Jack" Delbert and Lottie Mae McCallister (Horner); his brothers, Tom McCallister and John W. McCallister; and his daughter-in-law Kay McCalllister.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn JoAnn Spain; his sons, John McCallister of Monett and Mike McCallister (Leann) of Monett; his grandchildren, Kyle McCallister (Kaitlyn), Kelli McCallister, Kassie McCallister and Karlee McCallister; his great grandchild Jaycie; and his sisters, Norma Hooten of Hobbs, NM, Betty Jo Perdieu of Belleview, MO and Katie Mae Brown (Jerry) of Murfreesboro, TN..

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
