He is survived by: his parents, Shannon Bergesch and Jami Lewis Bergesch of Monett; his children, Kaesyn, Kai of Monett and Skilah of Monett; his grandfather Jeff Miller of Verona; his aunts, Kim Probstfield (Chub) of Ava, Denise Hudson (George) of Verona, Lisa Bryan of Jacksonville and Lynda Lewis Pierceily; his siblings, Eric Akins, Sasha (Dana) of Monett, Caylee (Christian) of Monett, Ericka, Ashley and Amanda Akins of Monett; and his close friends, Nathan and Michelle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial donations for Derrick may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
