She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Shaon and Viola Shaon (Newsom); and her brothers, Russell, Charles, John and Ollie Shaon.
She is survived by: her husband Claude Kemp Sr.; her children, Michael Stephens, Sidney Stephens, Paul Stephens (Cala), Claude Kemp Jr. (Melissa), Deborah Stephens and Rosanna Johnson (Matt); her granddaughter Amanda Martin; her brothers, Volley Shaon (Brenda) and Roy Shaon (Norma); and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Shaon and Lell Shaon. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
