He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer W. Spencer and Rosa Catherine Spencer (Hake); his daughter Sheila Spencer; and his brothers, Earl Leon Spencer Sr., Tony Spencer, Raymond Spencer, William "Bill" Spencer and Elmer Spencer Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Lois Spencer (Laughlin); his daughter Cheryl Spencer of Mokane; his sister Mary Spencer Walker; his grandchildren, Mason Horstman (Megan) of Fulton and Michaela Shaver (Brayden) of West Pointe; and his great grandchildren, Kylee and John Horstman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
