He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Cessna and Jonita Whiteside (Walters); his wife Dona Cessna-Towne; his daughter-in-law Diana Laughlin; and his grandson Joseph Gilbert.
He is survived by: his children, Katrina Cessna, Lisa Heinrich (Matthew), Joleen Cessna, Kim Ridenhour, Christopher Cessna (Sally), Ronnie Towne (Diane) and Troy Laughlin; and his grandchildren, Matt Scott Heinrich, Ian Heinrich, Joseph Heinrich, Kayleen Spear, Brooke Kever, Deegan Cessna, Isabella Just, Noah Just, Joshua Maroney, Gregor Schuhknecht, Hannah Laughlin, Sam Laughlin, Maddy Laughlin, Levi Laughlin, Jordan Wilson and Austin Spear.
