He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Yates and Mary Yates (McDaniel); his brothers, Joe Yates, Greg Yates and Roger Smith; and his mother-in-law Lorna Faught.
He is survived by: his wife Gayla Yates; his daughter McCayla Yates; his siblings, Mike Smith and Linda Reed; his sister-in-law Gina Dille (Kerry); and his father-in-law Cleo Faught. He is also survived by Several cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
