She was predeceased by: her mother Etta Viola Pettengill (Brewer); her husband Douglas DeVos; her parent Chancey Pettengill; her sister Carol Meeker; and her grandson Michael Jacob Lamme.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Samp (Dale) of Cairo, MO and David Lamme (Sheryl) of Waynesville, MO.; her grandchildren, Alicia Samp (Sunil Iyer) of San Francisco, CA and Andrew Samp (Sondra); her great grandchildren, Amelia, Levi, Ruby, Clara and Judah of Ames, IA; her grandchild Kyle Samp (Marlisa); her great grandchildren, Emmett, Fiona and Alister of Moberly, MO; her grandson Ethan Lamme; her great grandchild Luna of Waynesville, MO.; and her brother Maurice Pettengill (Pat) of Milwaukee, WI. She is also survived by one nephew; two nieces; extended family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Shirley's memory would be appreciated to the Run 4.
