It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Vaughn Tompson of Moberly, Missouri, born in Mexico, Missouri, who passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Dudley and Nellie Gray Tompson (Vaughn); and his brothers, Willard Tompson (Ester) of British Columbia, Carroll Tompson (Marsha) of Winston Salem, NC and Clifford Tompson (Mary) of Columbia, MO..
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Tompson (Andrews); his children, Robert Tompson Jr. of Columbia, MO, Richard Tompson (Terri) of West Plains, MO, Karen Wolfe (David) of Auxvasse, MO and Ronald Tompson (Melody) of Moberly, MO; his grandchildren, Courtney Tompson of Columbia, MO, Travis Tompson of St. Louis, MO, Patrick Tompson of Moberly, MO, Alaina Tompson of West Plains, MO and Jeremy Tompson of Moberly, MO; and his great grandchildren, Kirsten Tompson, Andrew Tompson, Kendall Tompson-Hays and Brody Tompson-Hays.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Moberly Community College Foundation and the Randolph County Historical Society.
