With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John M. Gastler (Moberly, Missouri), born in Wellsville, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2024 at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his brothers, Gale Gastler and Carl Gastler; and his parents, Ida Gastler (Hays) and Melvin Gastler. He is survived by: his wife Joy Darby; his siblings, Beverly Casey (Bill) of Ashland, MO and Gary Gastler (Jackie) of Moscow Mills, MO; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Gastler of High Ridge, MO and Darla Gastler of Mexico, MO; his siblings, Kent Gastler (Pam) of Montgomery City, MO, Melanie Gastler (Armondo Ponce) of Columbia, MO and Tiffany Peery (Johnny) of Mexico, MO; and his uncle Clarence Gastler (Jane Davis) of Wellsville, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews; and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel (411 Union Ave, Moberly, MO 65270). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society (PO Box 28566, St. Louis, MO 63146) in lieu of flowers.
