He is survived by: his children, Karen Green (David) of Newport, AK, Kathy Lewis (Kevin) of Canton, MO and John Ames III Adkisson (Karen) of Virginia Beach, VA; and his siblings, Bonita and Lawrence. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
