He is survived by: his wife Jenny Pauline Trussel; his sisters, Betty Burks, Alice Adams and Dorothy Tonner; his granddaughter Cheryl P. Burkhart; his sons, Raymond Lee Burkhart (Mia) of Vera Beach, FL, George Thomas Burkhart (Paula) of Brunswick and Charles Allen Burkhart (Rita) of Salem Mo; and his brother Claude Burkhart (Joyce) of Hannibal. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, Mo.
