He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Miller (Miller); his son David William Piest; and his siblings, Luella Clubb, Robert Piest and Walt Piest.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Bish (Daryl) of Apple Valley, CA, Wendy Coggins of Vero Beach, FL and Jim Brown (Tina) of Clifton Hill, MO; his grandchildren, Crystal Ellena (Jason), Tiffany Jackson (Robert), Thomas Montague (Stephany), Jason Coggins, Amanda Coggins, Kelsey Debenito (Vinny), Kyla Roberts (Bryant), Mallory Brown and Logan Brown; and his sister Shirley Jensen of Apple Valley, CA.. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jefferson Chapel at Parker-Millard Funeral Service & Crematory (12 E Ash St, Columbia, MO 65203).
