She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignacio Trujillo and Jasinta Trujillo; her husband Larry Peterson; her son Robert Mares (Bobby); and her granddaughters, Tiffany and Keishi Mares.
She is survived by: her children, Juan Mares (Debbie) of Colorado, Fabian Mares (Carol) of Moberly and Clarissa Mares of California; her daughters-in-law, Charlene Mares of Colorado and Jesse Mares (Tammy) of Tennessee; her sisters, Nancy Rodarte of Colorado and Mary Ybarra of Colorado; and her close friend Zoey. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren & several nieces and nephews.
