He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Smith and Margie N. Smith (Stevens); and his brother Jerry Smith. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Willis; his children, Thomas Smith (Jamie Robinson) of Joplin, Missouri, Amanda Janssen (Samuel) of Friendswood and Callista Smith; his siblings, Gary Smith (Sondra) of Mindenmines, MO and Joan Cantrell (Clint) of Mindenmines, MO; his sister-in-law Sally Smith of Carl Junction, Missouri; and his pets, Teddy, Lola, Chimmy, Lyra and Echo.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests expressions of sympathy be given to the Kevin Smith Scholarship Fund and or the Joplin Humane Society.
