She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Luther and Lorine Kessler (Porter); her daughter Jeanne Achey; and her brother Melvin L. Kessler. She is survived by: her husband Dean Baxter; and her son Mike Baxter of Sheldon, MO. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (500 N Olive St, Nevada, MO 64772).
