She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lala and Josephine Varisco Lala; her spouse Alfred Eugene "Gene" Powless Sr.; and her son Alfred Eugene Powless Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Bailey of Du Quoin and Janet Bagby of Spartanburg; her grandchildren, Dana Woosley (Paul) of Loveland, Laurie Bell (Sean) of Camarillo, Raelen Bagby of Spartanburg and Marc Bagby; her great grandchildren, Amanda Woosley, Matthew Woosley of Loveland, Andrew Bell of Camarillo, Antony Bagby of Honolulu and Jaelyn Bagby-Gentry of Spartanburg; and her sister Rose Notariano of Hammond. She is also survived by many other relatives; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo.
