He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jones and Ruth Jones (Burns); his son Steven Jones; and his siblings, Melba Carrington, John, George, Ray and Albert Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Marge; and his daughters, Cynthia Capehart of Springfield and Linda Eaton of Canton, Kansas. He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
