He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Roy Shell and Ludie Shell (Orton); his daughter Lisa Gentry; and his siblings, Betty Rasberry, J. L. Shell and Jim Shell.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Shell of Mill Spring, MO; his son Charles G. Shell, Jr.; his siblings, Joan Hill of Hartford, AL, Bonnie Humphry of Delham, AL, Diane Ricketts (Jerry) of Cheyanne, WY, Otto Shell (Billie Jean) of Talladega, AL, Mike Shell (Debbie) of Portland, OR and Larry Shell (Beverly) of Steel, MO; his grandchildren, Jessica Causbie, Chaz Gentry, Austen Shell and Alexis Shell; his great grandchildren, Amelia Causbie, Aiden Causbie, Aaron Gentry and Aaliyah Gentry; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Venable, Pat Phillips and Edith Rice. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
