He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Whitacre; his daughter Cherie Smith; his friend Troy Mason of Milan; his grandchildren, Angie Curtis (Marc), Sarah Nickell (Jeremy), Gingo Smith, Jericho Smith, Brandy Barnes (Perry), Tyler Curtis, Payton Curtis, Raylee Nickell, Greyson, Kylee Smith, Jaiven Smith and Trace Barnes; and his sisters-in-law, Leatrice Lee and Doris Veeder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
