He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virgil Veeder and Mary Veeder (Whitacre); his spouse Connie Snow; his daughters, Angie Curtis (Marc) of Milan and Sarah Nickell (Jeremy) of Blue Springs; his grandchildren, Tyler Curtis, Payton Curtis and Raylee Nickell; his sister Cherie Smith of Milan; his close friend Connie Veeder of Milan; his grandparents, Willie, Wilmuth Whitacre, Clarence and Rena Veeder; his uncles, Leo Veeder, Mack Lee and Bill Daharsh; his aunt Marion Daharsh; and his brother-in-law Butch Smith. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
