George W. Calvert Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2022, at the age of 95, George W. Calvert in Milan, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon W. Calvert and Irene Norvell Calvert; his wife Jean Lamme; his children, Sam Calvert (Janice), Anne Whitehead, Jane Herring, Kerri Calvert (Nuusa Faamoe), Ruth Tamulonis (John) and Grace Calvert (Andy Harris); his son-in-law Kevin Cosgrove; his daughter Susan Cosgrove; and his grandson Maxwell Tamulonis. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Immanuel United Methodist Church for youth programs, Canton Main Street Association at P.O. Box 82, Canton, MO 63435 or to The Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri, 4531 Maine Street, Suite A, Quincy, IL 62305 for the Canton Public Library.
