He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Nickell and Elizabeth Lee Nickell (Bowling); his siblings, Shirley Baker, Clara Butler, Robert Nickell and Clifford Nickell; and his son-in-law Nathan Morehead.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Kay Monahan of Virginia, Dinah Jones of Trenton, Syntitha Morehead of Milan, Donald Nickell Jr. of Marceline and Montana Siemer of Mercer; his grandchildren, Shanna Connor, Shawn Connor, Zachary Jones, Dre Morehead, Tate Morehead, Harlow Nickell, Jayde Nickell, Onyx Nickell and Cash Siemer; his great grandchildren, Declan Martin, Finley-Kay Connor and Christian Connor; and his brothers, Richard Nickell (Debbie) of Liberty and Jim Nickell (Barb) of Milan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home (120 W 4th St, Milan, MO 63556).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Senior Center.
