Bob Sparks Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bob Sparks (Milan, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Bob may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sparks and Faye Sparks; his wife Arlene Sparks; his son Robert David Sparks; and his grandson Joshua Timothy Dickens.
He is survived by: his children, Doug Sparks (Laurie) of Celina, Julee Sparks Dickens of Raleigh, NC and Melonee Foss (Jeff) of Celina. He is also survived by four brothers, one sister, and many, many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home (120 W 4th St, Milan, MO 63556). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, the American Heart Association, or the American Kidney Fund in memory of Robert Sparks.
