We bid farewell to Velma Irene Sims-Allen of Mexico, Missouri, born in Renick, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 3, 2024 at the age of 100. Velma Irene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas E. Belcher and Ester Mattie Belcher (Stein); her husbands, Garl Sims and Wallace Allen; her sons, Bill Sims and Darrell Sims; her son-in-law Ron Azdell; and her siblings, Esther White, Tommy Belcher, Stella Vance and J. W. Belcher.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Sims (Sue) of Raymore, Martha Azdell of Mexico, Warren Sims (Cheryl) of Blue Springs and Deanna Sims of Centralia; her daughters-in-law, Sharon Sims of Maryville and Kathy Sims of Mexico; her sister-in-law Adele Beever of Columbia; and her stepson Bob Allen (Lynda) of Mexico. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons.
