Louis Smithey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louis Smithey of Mexico, Missouri, who passed away on December 16, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stockwell Smithey and Anna Maud Smithey (Talley); his brothers, George and James; and also Eddie.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his daughters, Mila Lowry (Jim) of Mexico and Marcia Beckett (Chris) of Columbia; his daughter-in-law Marcia Lynn (Eddie) of Parkston; and his grandchildren, Dawn Shellabarger (Jacob) of Mexico, Eric of Mexico, Audrey of Mexico, Melanie Utterback (Andy) of Mexico, Sophia of Mexico, James of Mexico, Nathan Beckett (Micaiah), Evelyn of Rosedale, Andrew Beckett (Lauren), Mattis of Fort Worth, Jake Smithey of Parkston and Jeff Smithey (Cassie Gerhart) of Memphis, Tennessee.. He is also survived by friends and especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Help Center Food Pantry.
