He was predeceased by: his father Lewis Wheeler Galbreath, Sr.; his sons, David Carter and Lynn Carter; his siblings, Sarah Roberts, Dorothy Jackson, Geraldine Galbreath, Carrie Brown, Alice Vaughn, Thomas Galbreath and Stanford Galbreath; and his grandchild Lynn "Pudgie" Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbye Forrest; his children, Deldor Moore (Ricky) of Arlington, TX, Dorothy Scruggs (John) of Arlington, TX, Lewis Galbreath, Jr. (Lisa) of Arlington, TX, Robert Galbreath, Sr. (Jovita) of Arlington, TX and Donna McGlaun (Pastor J. A.) of Collinsville, IL; and his sister Barbara Sanders. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
