He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Ellis and Gertrude Van Vactor (Bryan); and his siblings, James, Kenneth and Velma Van Vactor.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Van Vactor; his children, Craig Van Vactor of Lawrenceville, Patrick Van Vactor (Becca) of Mexico and Marsha Stewart (Jeff) of Mexico; his grandchildren, Dallas Van Vactor of Mexico, Patience Van Vactor of Lawrenceville, Arion Van Vactor of Onyx, Deyton Stewart of Mexico, Jordan Van Vactor of Rush Hill, Nora Van Vactor of Mexico and Griffin Van Vactor of Mexico; and his siblings, Eddie Van Vactor (Shirley) of Springfield and Hazel Schlotoch of Columbia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
